A few words about HELCHILD:

Helchild, aka Helen Child, is a non-binary performance poet, satirical comedian and internationally exhibited visual artist, who's work is often darkly funny, highly imaginative and theatrical. Helchild Combines clever mimicry and self-made sound and visual FX, with free form experimental poetry, taking the audience into surreal worlds where anything is absurdly possible. 

Helchild has been performing their poetry on stage since 1995, at the Perth Artists Club, and is co-founder of Perth Poetry Club. They have featured their poetry at many live festivals, on radio, in magazines, on zoom shows, and on community TV in Perth and Melbourne.

A few words about Π.Ο.

Π.Ο.aka Pioh, is  a founding member of Melbourne Poets Union and the Judge for this year’s MPU International Poetry Competition. p.o. won the Judith Wright Calanthe Award in 2020 for HEIDE and was shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Award for Poetry in the same year. He has published many poetry collections, including the famous 24 Hours and Fitzroy, is the editor of Unusual Workand is one of only 10 Poets nominated for Australian Poetry Laureate in 2025.
